Cause: 

The root cause of this error has to do with Sage experiencing issues opening up your company profile. Any of these three things could lead to this error: problems with your Sage Admin username and password, or Sage simply refuses to open the company.

Resolution:

  1. Re-enter your Sage admin credentials in the Username and Password field in the sync tool.
  2. Leave the Sage company for the problem company open, then try a re-sync.
